Mildred Eason Bryant

Mildred Eason Bryant, age 88 passed away on Tuesday morning, September 17, 2024 in her home surrounded by her children. She was born in Nash County, NC on July 10, 1936. She was the daughter of Willis Dempsey Eason and Mary Woodruff Eason. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Eldridge Earl “Bobby” Bryant; brothers, Wayne, Bill and Timmy Eason; sisters, Evelyn Powell, Betty Lou Joyner and Ida Reason and granddaughter, Brianne Dawes.

She is survived by her children, Joanne Christian, Dianne Dawes, Bobby Bryant and wife Lynne, Darlene Paul and husband, Eddie, Tammy Smith and husband, Louis and Stanley Bryant; siblings, Brenda Proctor and husband, Earl, Linda Berisko and husband, Regis,  Bonnie Hayes and husband, Bobby, Tiny Reason and husband, Luther, Margie Bass, and Danny Eason and wife, Alice. She will also be deeply missed by her beloved grandchildren, Kate, Meredith, Chad, Melissa, Laurie,  Jamie,  Jessica, Olivia, Alaina, Sherri, Angie, Fred, Chris, Mack, Haley, Hunter and Bobby and 32 precious great-grandchildren.

Mildred was a member of Falls Road Baptist Church in Rocky Mount (now Crossroads Baptist Church). She worked as a seamstress for many years, but nothing was more important to her than her family. Nothing made her happier than a "Family Reunion". She loved like no one we have ever known and will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved her.

A service to celebrate Mildred's life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Crossroads Baptist Church, 3324 Benvenue Road, Rocky Mount NC 27804, with pastor Jeff Hedgepeth officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary prior to the service beginning at 10:00am.
