Mona “Lisa” Dean, age 65, passed away peacefully Friday, October 31, 2025 at Maria Parham Health Hospital in Henderson, North Carolina. She was born in Franklin County on November 30, 1959 to Jimmy and Mollie Champion Dean.

In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry Sam Champion, George Deans and Danny G. Deans; sisters, Joan D. Moore and Jean Medlin; nephews, Derick Moore and Marty Deans and niece, Jenny Lewis.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Sue Champion of Rocky Mount and Gail Gardner of Whitakers; niece, Mandi White (Brian) of Charlotte; nephew, William “Blake” Deans of Hertford; along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited for a memorial gathering at 10:00am on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. Fellowship and visitation will follow immediately afterward.
