Owen Thomas "Bunky" Hale, Jr., age 63, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023. He was born on March 1, 1960 in Franklin County, North Carolina to Owen and Rivers Collins Hale. He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Thomas Hale. 

He is survived by his son, Owen Thomas "Bucky" Hale, III (Crystal); mother, Rivers Hale Tharrington; brother, Timmy Hale (Renae), all of Castalia; grandchildren, Jazmin and Desiree; great-grandchildren, Madison, Nova and Mi'Angel; nephew, T.J. Hale; and former wife and close friend, Connie Hale of Castalia. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 2:00PM at Nashville Church of God, 606 S. Clark Street, Nashville, NC 27856. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM.
