Benson -
Pamela Rae Vick Cox, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Wake Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Wilson on October 21, 1948, Pam, as she was known, was the first child and only daughter of Spencer Vick and Bonnie Williams Vick, both of whom preceded her in death.
Pam grew up in the Mount Pleasant Community and graduated from Bailey High School in 1967. She later earned an associate degree in accounting from Wilson Technical Institute. She was employed in various accounting positions for many years.
Pam was a woman of strong Christian faith. She was a member of and worshiped the Lord at Harvest Fellowship Church in Goldsboro. Our hearts are broken, but those of us who knew and loved her find solace in the belief that she will spend eternity in Heaven.
Family was extremely important to Pam. Her treasure in life was her daughter, Kristy Renea Cox, of the home. Pam sacrificed everything for Kristy. Her fundamental goal was to prepare Kristy for life in general and specifically, for this eventuality. Kristy is a remarkable confirmation that her mother's profound dedication was abundant.
In addition to her daughter, Pam is survived by her brothers, Kirby Vick (Brenda), Andy Vick (Gail); along with a host of extended family and good friends.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support and assistance with Pam and Kristy's recent relocation from Goldsboro to Benson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be published once available.
