Ralph Hubert King, Jr, 74, passed peacefully in Tarboro, NC on January 9, 2026, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in NC in 1951, Ralph had an illustrious career in the music industry, which took him all over the world. He had a deep passion for being on the water, boating, white water rafting, travel, was an avid reader, coaching kid’s sports, and loved everything about the music business. He was a great storyteller and never met a stranger.

Ralph married Nancy Jo King in 1979 and he is also survived by his son, Geoffrey Alan King and spouse, Courtney; daughter, Savannah Lauren King, as well as his grandchildren, Cassidy Jo King and Caliope Maxine King; brother, Alan King and sister, Kathy Hardin.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
