Sandra (Wilson) Walston

Sandra Wilson Walston, age 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 28, 2021. She was born on June 22, 1950 in Ville Platte, Louisiana to H.O. and Ivie Wiseman Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darry Walston; son, Darryl Walston; brother, James Pierce; sister, Linda Sanchez; and grandson, Ayden Larivee. 

Sandra is survived by a loving family including her daughters, Janet Pollard of Whitakers, Kim Wells and husband, David of Rocky Mount, Cassie Larivee and husband, Chris of Whitakers, and Callie Franklin of Raleigh; grandchildren, Meagan Pollard, Brooke Pollard, Samantha Andrews and husband, Nick, Alex Wells, Elijah Larivee, Deklan Larivee, Cameron Franklin, Kaitlyn Franklin, and Kayleigh Franklin; great-granddaughter, Ivie-Marie Andrews, expected in January, 2022; sisters, Wanda McBride and husband, Dave and Joyce Pierce Bradley; brother, Terry Wilson and wife, Debbie, all of Turkey Creek, Louisiana; along with six nephews, nine nieces, and other extended relatives and family friends. The family would like to extend gratitude to Kindred Hospice with a special thanks to Lauren Dugas for her outstanding care, compassion, and love. 

A service to celebrate Sandra's life will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 5:00PM at Oakdale Baptist Church, 13037 US Highway 64 Alt W, Rocky Mount, NC 27801. The family will receive friends immediately following the service as well as other times at the home of Kim Wells.
