Sharon K. Savage, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. She was born on January 29, 1949 in Edgecombe County to George and Virginia Bullock Savage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life partner, Sandra Lou Braddy; siblings, Daphne Ellis, Marsha Hyde and Sonji Driver and her nephew, Shawn Kenneth Todd.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Whitaker O’Neal (Kevin); grandchildren, Ashley Lauren Johnson, Dylan Kevin O’Neal, Daymion Kevin O’Neal, and Matthew Dawson O’Neal, all of Tarboro; nieces and nephews, Jeff Ellis (Lynn), Vicki Ellis (Tammy), Cindy Jones, Kelly Ellis Ward and Tommy Dean Jones. She was especially close to her great nephews and niece, Eli Thomas Todd, Landon Savage Todd and Mahala Dawn Todd. Sharon will also be greatly missed by many friends and other extended relatives. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Faith Bible Church, 1343 McNair Road, Tarboro, NC 27886 with Reverend David Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 7-9 PM at the home of Kim and Kevin O’Neal.
