Shirley Wall Everette

Shirley Wall Everette, age 80, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Her journey began in Nash County on December 27, 1944, daughter of Clyde and Emma Jones Wall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Lee Everette; brother, Joe Wall and sister, Margaret Chance.

She leaves a lifetime of wonderful memories for her son, Shane Richardson and wife, Pam of Tarboro; brother, Charles Lee Wall, also of Tarboro; grandson, Collin Chase Richardson (Ashlyn Williams) of Atlantic Beach; nephew, David Newsome of Wilmington; special friend and companion, Kenneth B. Alexander of Battleboro; friends, Mike and Wanda Melvin and Maria Platteel, all of Battleboro and beloved poodle, Oliver.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00am. 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt note of thanks to UNC Nash Hospital, UNC Rex Hospital, UNC Oncology, Gentiva Hospice of Rocky Mount, and Ashlyn Williams, all of whom played significant roles in Shirley's care and assistance to our family. We are deeply grateful for these very special people.
