Steve Wells, age 54, passed away peacefully and went Home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday morning, September 16, 2023.  Steve was born in Nash County on December 16, 1968 to Tim and Linda Wells. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ben and Beulah Brantley; paternal grandparents, Willie and Eura Wells; and father-in-law, Jack Huneycutt.

He leaves wonderful memories for his beloved family including his wife of thirty-five years, Priscilla Huneycutt Wells; parents, Tim and Linda Wells; children, Jason Wells, Brandon Wells (Candis) and Sarah Wells (Tom Sweeney); brothers, Mike Wells (Donna) and Brad Wells (Melissa); mother-in-law, Joyce Huneycutt; nephews, Wyatt Wells and Davis Wells; niece, Lily Grace Wells; great niece, Laura Wells; along with many special cousins, aunts, uncles, and family friends.

Steve was anxiously awaiting the arrival of two precious grandchildren: James Timothy Sweeney (coming in November) and Elliana Lou Wells (coming in October). They will grow up knowing their Papa's love through a lifetime of family stories and treasured memories to be shared.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1731 Hunter Hill Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.
