William Gary Woodfield, known affectionately as "Woody", passed away peacefully Saturday, December 14, 2024 at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, North Carolina. His journey began in Richmond, Virginia on December 9, 1949 to Warren and Aldis Woodfield, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by his significant other of fifty years, Glen Smith; brother, Joseph "Kirk" Woodfield and wife, Sue of Fairfax, Virginia; close friend, Bridget Clarke; and his adored feline companions, Miss Kitty, Alicia and Butsy.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
