Willie Clyde Davis, Jr., 89, passed on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Nash UNC Health Care. Clyde was born on November 20, 1932, to Willie Clyde Davis, Sr., and Lida Pope Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Elizabeth “Lib” Bridgers of Lakeland, Florida.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lois Jean Strickland Davis; Son, Randy Davis (Susan) of Nashville; grandchildren, Ryan Davis (Alyssa), Kaitlyn Davis Garner (Isaac), Seth, Anna, and Joseph Davis; and great-grandson, Luca Davis.
Clyde was a faithful member of Grace Reformed Baptist Church. He was a devout Christian who loved his church and his family unconditionally. He was especially proud of his grandchildren. Clyde could build, fix, and grow just about anything. He was the epitome of a man who worked hard to provide for his family.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, May 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at Nashville United Methodist Church, 209 East Washington Street, Nashville, NC 27856. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
